In latin america, music is a big part of its culture, you cannot go anywhere in south america without hearing its wonderful trail of music. it is know mainly for that, and there delicious food of course. Latin america has very many variaties of music, just like here in the us. For example, we have rap, hip-hop, country, rock, well, so do they. At first it sounded weird to me, even though im from there i thought they just had all that salsa and merenge you here, but no...oddly enough the latinos have many artists for every stlye of music.
Juanes, is a very good example of how we latinos refere to as "rock" they sing a very wide variety of music, in spanish, but there main focus is pop, and rock. Shakira is also another good example, she would be concidered hip-hop. there are alot of artist in latin america that compose may different styles of music, and you'll find we< north americans> not as different as you think!

I learned a little more about Latin American music than I had before. I thought it was all a similar style of music, but now I see that they have music similar to ours.
